Rivers Unit Study
 

Learning Objectives
1. Identify and locate major rivers on map: Nile, Yangtze, Amazon, Hudson, Mississippi, Columbia, Snoqualmie.
 
2. Identify river uses: transportation, power, water supply, recreation, shipping, exploration.
 
3. Understand how humans impact the quality of the river ecosystem (positive and negative).
 
4. Be able to explain the water cycle, using water cycle terminology, and the role of rivers in the cycle.
